Bear New Zealand

First off: Star Trek was awesome. Go see it. Preferably go see it with a cinema full of friendly bears, but whatever you do make sure you see it on the big screen. It’s very well done.

Tonight (Friday 10th May) Max and John are going to the pub, and we’re all invited! It’s just a casual Friday get together at the Shakespeare Pub, 61 Albert St, Auckland, at 6:30pm. There’s an event up on the Facebook too, if you’re following Bear New Zealand.

Bear New Zealand has a great FaceBook space for guys living in (or visiting) New Zealand.  More info can be found here. You need to have an active FaceBook account and request membership to the group to participate.

Ok, so I’ve been a bit slack in updating this page. I blame the TOTALLY AWESOME TIME we’re having at Bear NZ Week 2013.

Today it’s time to relax at the closing BBQ. Hosted at Brian and Grant’s place, 22 Mostyn St, Kingsland, from 2pm.

Food is provided to Bear New Zealand Week 2013 Pass holders, with maybe a bit extra (pass holders get to go first)

Bring your own beverages.

Bear New Zealand Calling! Or, as we call it, Meet and Greet. Bless their hearts, the Amora tried so hard but I don’t think they were prepared for the awesome power of 50 hungry, thirsty bears. The poor barman had never worked so hard in his life. Still… the food was good, the beer was cold, and the company was even better. Everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves.

We hope to see you all at the Bear Drag Race at Rising Sun/420 tonight! Doors open at 5pm, race at 6:30- It’s going to stop traffic…

And we’re off! The Big Gay Out is always a fun day in the sun, and this year was no exception. We had the Bear New Zealand tent set up adjacent tot he Urge Caluzzi Beer tent (of course) and it became a relaxing place for the bears to take a break during the day.

Tee shirts are selling fast, so if you want one you’d better come along to the Meet and Greet tonight (Monday 11th) at the Amora Hotel.

Ticket pack sales are done! Three events are sold out (Bear Drag at Caluzzi, Will & Dave’s Excellent Adventure, Bear City 2 screening), you can still buy tickets for the big Tri-Nations/Love Candy dance party direct from the venue. The other eight or so events are pay-at-the-door or simply show up. T-shirts still on sale here.
