Boring admin stuff

The web site has lately been overrun with bogus signups (six today alone), so I’ve had to disable signups and do a manual purge of the user database.

If you’re an actual person and I’ve deleted your account, I’m sorry.

In truth, there wasn’t much point in allowing folks to sign up, as we don’t typically use this site for random postings, emailings, or discussion. I’m not even sure why the spammers are doing it, because they haven’t posted anything either.
