Bear New Zealand Week is back!! Our 11th edition will be January 21-27, 2020 over the Auckland Anniversary Weekend.

Bear Week 2020 leaps out of the starting gate with the most fun and unforgettable event of the week- the infamous Bear Drag Race down K’ Rd. Find your team, build your outfit, and sashay your way to fame and fortune! The event starts around 6pm, with the race around 7pm just in time for Urge Bear Divas.

The most infamous Urge party is back and promising to be as naughty as ever, with the famous cuddle room making a cumback.

Tiritiri Matangi Island Bird Sanctuary
Location: Pier 4, 139 Quay St , Auckland CBD

Tiritiri Matangi Island is a stunning wildlife sanctuary for New Zealand’s native birds, and an important conservation project. Beyond native wildlife, the island is home to a 150-year-old lighthouse, a network of trail walks through lush coastal forest, plus pristine beaches and spectacular views.
Bring plenty of water, snacks and lunch, as there are no food outlets on the island.
Good walking shoes, sun block and a sun hat.
Swimming gear and a towel if you want to swim.
A light rain jacket, and warm layers. Temperatures can change quickly, regardless of the season.
Your lunch must be packed in a rodent-proof/ sealed container e.g. hard plastic. No open bags or boxes will be allowed on-board. Everything you bring must be sealed or zipped closed.

Saturday – 25th Jan
Bush Walk to Kitekite Falls
Location: Cnr Valley & Dominion Roads, Mount Eden, Auckland
Take a day trip out to Auckland’s West Coast with Bears in the Bush. Take a leisurely walk on the trails at Piha and visit Kitekite falls. Bring a picnic lunch before heading back to Town for the evening!
Meet at Countdown Mt Eden (Cnr Valley & Dominion Roads, Mount Eden) for a 10am departure together to the start of the walk, approx 1 hour drive west of Auckland CBD.
Trainers are fine. Bring a packed lunch, water, and a light rain jacket.

Hairy Beary Onesie Harbour Cruise

Bear New Zealand’s traditional closing BBQ, a chance to wind down and experience some genuine Kiwi hospitality. Food is provided, please BYO beverages of choice. Let us know if you have any dietary requirements. Since this is held at a private residence, the address will be in your run pack if you’ve bought a ticket.
As this is a catered event, you must have a ticket to attend.
