Tickets are still available for the 2021 Bear Divas Show!

Usually we’ve sold out by this stage, but this year we’ve gone big and booked Phoenix*: a larger, more spacious venue with a big stage, lounge area, room for social distancing, and a buffet dinner. Bears love buffets.

The evening is hosted by the lovely Caluzzi girls, with the show featuring the Bear Drag Divas; we’ve got a fantastic lineup of divas this year, from fresh young things to a very special comeback performance. You won’t want to miss this one.

We are delighted to announce our dates for Bear NZ Week 2021 – January 26-February 1 in Auckland.

All the old favourites will return like Bear Drag Race, Comedy Night and the Bear Cruise, and we have some new day events planned.

Next week we are (hopefully) moving down to Level 1, which is pretty much a return to normal, except the small factor of getting in and out of the country.

With that, we are now retiring the weekly online Furry Fridays. Thank you so much to everyone who hosted, supported and dialled into the weekly chats. Big ups to Ending HIV NZ for your support too.

Furry Fridays and Bear events are returning in physical forms soon around the country, so please support them and the various bars/clubs/cafes who host.

This month’s Southern HiBearnation in Melbourne has been sadly, and inevitably, cancelled, for reasons you can probably guess.

As a result, this year’s Mr Bear NZ winner Corie Boley will now represent New Zealand in the 2021 Mr Australasia Bear contest. There won’t be a Mr Bear NZ contest next year.

We are still planning to hold our Bear New Zealand Week in late January.
