Bear New Zealand Week 2020

Bear New Zealand Week is back!! Our 11th edition will be January 21-27, 2020 over the Auckland Anniversary Weekend.

We have our old favourites and some new ones too, including more day activities and our first ever cruise! We want to say thanks to our major sponsor Ending HIV for their continuing support of Bear NZ Week,, we truly appreciate it.

Tuesday 21st Jan: Bear Drag Race (Coco’s Cantina – sponsored by K Road Business Association), then Urge Bear Divas (Caluzzi)

Wednesday 22nd: Underbear (Dog’s Bollix)

Thursday 23rd: Day trip (TBC), Evening – Funny, Furry, Fierce Comedy show (Classic Comedy Club)

Friday 24th: Mr Bear New Zealand (Dog’s Bollix)

Saturday 25th: Day – Bush walk to Kitekite Falls, Evening – Big Bear Harbour Cruise

Blue September fundraiser

Thank you to everyone who came to our ‘blue do’ in Auckland or donated online for this year’s Prostate Cancer Foundation appeal.

We raised $236.80 at the Garage Project and another $110 online.

Bear New Zealand celebrates its 11th Bear New Zealand Week this coming 2020. And as always, we look to our community for inspiration in friendship and camaraderie.

To commemorate the upcoming Bear New Zealand Week, we took the opportunity to highlight our wonderful, and colourful, members of our local bear brotherhood.

Featuring faces of different ages, shapes, sizes and creed, we are reminded that although we are diverse and multi-cultural, we band together as friends, lovers and family.

‘Bears in Bed’ is a relaxed, fun and playful look into what we get up to in the bedroom – aside from the obvious of course! From scenes of playfulness, cuddliness and sleepiness, the calendar offers a sneak peek into the bedroom of a kiwi bear.
